This is everything in the product, not a limited trial, for the RE5 and the RE1. Below is what you get, how it measures whether you are ready, the one thing we ask in return, and who the offer will not suit.

Why we built PassPath

It is twenty past nine at night. The laptop is still open, you have read the same section of the General Code of Conduct three times, and none of it has stuck. Somewhere at the back of your mind sits the R1 300 exam fee, VAT inclusive, per attempt, your DOFA deadline, and the quiet fact that your ability to do your job depends on this one paper.

We know that feeling because we have sat where you are sitting. Our team built one of Africa's biggest fintechs, and we have written these regulatory exams ourselves. That is why we know how much is riding on them, and how little the available study material tells you about whether you are actually ready.

Most of what is on the market is documents. A PDF, a slide deck, a printed guide. All of it can be good work, and none of it can answer the question that matters in the week before you write: is this working? You read for six weeks, you feel roughly confident, you pay the fee, you sit down, and that is the moment you find out.

That gap is why PassPath exists. We built the study tool we wished we had.

What you get in the 30 days

Full access to all four of these, for the exam you are writing:

• Practice questions, as many as you can get through. Not a fixed set you end up memorising, but a bank deep enough that you keep meeting questions you have not seen before.
• Full mock exams in the real format against the real clock. The RE5 is 50 questions in 2 hours and the RE1 is 80 questions in 2 hours 30 minutes. Knowing the content and applying it at that pace are two different skills, and the second is where good candidates come unstuck.
• Adaptive practice that pays attention. The app adjusts to how you answer and points your practice at the exam tasks you are weakest on, rather than the ones you already enjoy.
• Progress tracking over time, so you get a trend rather than one score on one day.

How do you know when you are ready?

The FSCA sets the pass mark at 65%. On the RE5's 50 questions that means 33 correct answers, which is 66%; on the RE1's 80 questions it is exactly 52. Both figures are the same rule applied to a different paper, as the RE5 pass mark explained sets out.

The bar worth aiming at is scoring consistently above that line across every topic, not on average, and on questions you have not seen before. An average of 70% hides a 45% topic, and the exam samples everything. When your trend sits above the line topic by topic, you are not hoping you are ready. You know. What we ask in return

One honest review, which you can leave at our Trustpilot page. That is the only thing we ask.

Good or bad, we want the real one. If PassPath helped you, saying so is how other candidates hear about us, because we are new and we are collecting reviews the slow way with nothing offered in exchange. If it did not help you, we would still rather know, and we would rather you said so publicly than said nothing. We cannot fix what nobody tells us.

Who the Founding 40 will not suit

If you are starting from zero and want the syllabus taught to you, a question bank is the wrong first purchase. PassPath measures and drills; it does not deliver lessons. Pair it with a course, or start with one, and the RE5 study options compared page sets out the alternatives with 2026 prices.

If your exam is months away, the 30 days will lapse before the tool is much use to you. Claim a place when you are actually studying, not when you are thinking about starting. And if you have not yet worked out what to buy at all, RE5 study material is the more useful page to read first.
