Skillfully teaches the RE5 syllabus as 18 recorded video lessons totalling more than 6.5 hours, with practice questions and two mock exams. Access runs for a year. If you learn best by watching someone explain the material, Skillfully is the option to look at first.

Growth In Motion (GIMA)
Growth In Motion runs a two- or three-day workshop, face to face in major centres or over Teams, with a printed learner guide and six online practice exams. It is taught in real time by a facilitator you can ask questions. Anyone who wants live classroom teaching, rather than self-study, should look here first.
Where it is stronger than PassPath: A live facilitator you can question, a printed guide, after-hours facilitator contact on Teams or WhatsApp, and CPD accreditation it states from CISA and IOBSA.
Milpark Education
Milpark Education offers RE5 support as a four-week online course, a two-day online workshop, or study material and practice exams on their own. Access runs for 12 months. It suits someone who wants a structured, facilitated programme from an established education provider.
Where it is stronger than PassPath: A facilitated four-week online course with recordings, live online workshops, and helpdesk support.
SA Accounting Academy
SA Accounting Academy runs the RE5 as a facilitated online course over three months, in nine modules. The pacing is set by the course rather than by you. When checked, its page showed registration closed and a last start date of 15 April 2025, so confirm the next intake with them before planning around it.
Where it is stronger than PassPath: Expert-led facilitation sessions with a named lecturer, support by WhatsApp, phone and email, and a fee it says can count toward B-BBEE skills spend.
Moonstone Business School (MBSE)
Moonstone Business School is the training arm of the Moonstone group, which administers the regulatory exams. Its RE5 course runs on an LMS with 12 months of access and a six-week study plan. Sitting this course does not change how the exam is set or marked, and the free official preparation guide is available to everyone.

FAIS Forward Academy
FAIS Forward Academy offers RE5 preparation as a self-paced online programme with quizzes and practice exams, and sells its practice questions on their own. Training is offered for both RE1 and RE5. It suits someone who wants a structured online programme with a practice bank included.

Learn Insurance / License to Skill
License to Skill, which publishes at learninsurance.co.za, offers its RE1 and RE5 material as a free download: study material, a mock exam with suggested answers and a summary. It no longer runs face-to-face facilitation. The free material is worth a look on its own.
Where it is stronger than PassPath: It is free, and it describes itself as an INSETA-accredited training provider.
RE5 Certify Pro
RE5 Certify Pro is an independent practice website that advertises 325 exam-grade RE5 questions with full explanations, mock exams and a study guide, all free to use. The site does not name the person or company behind it. It suits someone who wants free question practice and is comfortable without a named provider.
Where it is stronger than PassPath: It is free: it advertises its full question bank and mock exams at no cost, where PassPath's full course is paid.

The right answer depends on how much time you have and how you learn.
You are writing in under 2 weeks
Find your gaps before you read anything else. A diagnostic or a mock exam tells you which topics are actually weak, which is the only way to spend two weeks well. A full taught course is unlikely to fit in the time.
You are rewriting after a fail
You have already covered the syllabus once, so re-reading all of it is rarely the best use of the time. Work out which topics cost you the marks, then drill those. A question bank or a readiness tool fits this better than a taught course.
You are an employer buying for a team
Look for per-seat pricing, an invoice, and reporting you can put in a competence file. Ask what a manager can see and what the access period is per seat.
