The full RE1 course, R399
One-time payment, 180 days of access, no auto-renew.
Your daily plan mixes spaced-repetition reviews with focused practice on your weakest topics, so the time between today and the date you book goes to the topics costing you marks rather than the ones you already know. 180 days of access covers a sitting months out, and a rewrite if it comes to that.
Full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not started the course content. See the Refund & Access policy.
When booking closes

The current schedule lists 6 sittings in the Northern Cape. About monthly: Kimberley Caritas Community Focus, Upington,NG Kerk/Church Noord/North and Kuruman NG Kerk Moedergemeente.
No. Each venue runs its own sittings, so the dates differ by city. Larger centres run sittings most weeks, while smaller centres run them about once a month. Check the venue you plan to write at rather than assuming a national date.
As early as you can. When this schedule was captured on 2 Nov 2026, 24 of the 417 sittings listed were already fully booked, so a popular venue on a convenient date can be gone weeks ahead. Booking early also protects you against the registration deadline, which falls 11 working days before the exam.
The fee is R1 300 per exam per candidate, VAT inclusive, the same as the RE5. It is set by the FSCA and paid to Moonstone. Payment is due within 24 hours of booking, or the booking is cancelled.
Most sittings serve both exams. A small number of sittings exclude RE1, so check the Exams offered detail for the sitting you want before you book. The schedule on this page marks which sittings include RE1.
Registration closes 11 working days before the exam, and a late booking is not accepted for that sitting. You book the next available sitting instead. That is why the deadline, not the exam date, is the one to diarise.
No. Most sittings serve both RE1 and RE5, but a small number are RE5 only. The schedule on this page lists only sittings that include the RE1, so every date shown here is one you can write the RE1 at.
Work backwards from the date you book, not forwards from today. There is no average that fits everybody, because the honest answer depends on how much of the syllabus you already know, so sit the free readiness check first: it is 16 questions, it takes about 15 minutes, and it scores you against the pass mark so you can see the size of the job before you commit your evenings. Leave room for the deadline too. Registration closes 11 working days before the exam, and results can take up to 20 working days afterwards.
You book another sitting and you pay R1 300 again. There is no rewrite discount and no re-registration: you log in to the booking portal, book the next date that suits you, and pay within 24 hours. Registration still closes 11 working days before that sitting, and results can take up to 20 working days, so a second attempt is a matter of months rather than weeks. Plan the first attempt with that in mind.
If you want to prepare for the next attempt, the full RE1 course is R399, one payment, 180 days of access.
You have your date. Find out today where you stand.
